About the Author
Carole Lawrence is an American novelist and short story writer. She is the author of seven novels, including The Sunlight Room, The Night We Met, and The Red House. Her work has been translated into more than 20 languages, and she has received numerous awards, including the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.
Lawrence is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and she has taught creative writing at Columbia University, Barnard College, and the New School for Social Research. She lives in New York City.
